Why study theology in Munich?

  • Because the Munich faculty combines an interdisciplinary range of courses at a high academic level with a family atmosphere.
  • Because the study of religion at LMU is in exchange with the social sciences, cultural studies and humanities.
  • Because regular and numerous excursions and conferences are offered here to enrich your studies.
  • Because the seminar and lecture rooms are located in the heart of the city and in the immediate vicinity of the English Garden, and one of the largest specialist libraries is open to you for research, work and study.
Because the Munich Faculty is located in the immediate vicinity of the Faculty of Catholic Theology and the Institute for Orthodox Theology and, in addition to academic exchange and cooperation, ecumenism is also practiced in everyday university life.
